The Gothic Hall at Beethovenplatz
Pointed arches, dark wood and the most intimate of our three rooms, a short walk from the Musikverein.
The architect
The hall was designed by Friedrich Schmidt, architect of Vienna's City Hall and master builder of St. Stephen's Cathedral. It is sometimes listed as the Imperial Hall.
The room
Pointed arches, dark wood and warm light make this the most intimate of the three halls where the orchestra plays. The audience sits close to the stage, which suits the chamber pieces in the first half of the programme.
Getting there
Take the U4 to Stadtpark or tram D, 2 or 71 to Schwarzenbergplatz, then walk about three minutes. The entrance is on Beethovenplatz. Please note that the hall has a few steps at the entrance; write to us before booking if you need step-free access.
