King's Hall and Festsaal II at the Haus der Industrie

Two concert rooms in one building on Schwarzenbergplatz, and how to make sure you walk into the right one.

The building

The Haus der Industrie stands on Schwarzenbergplatz, where the Ringstraße meets the Lothringerstraße. Its second festival hall was inaugurated by Emperor Franz Joseph in 1911. Both concert rooms are inside the same building, reached through the main entrance at Schwarzenbergplatz 4.

King's Hall

The larger room is a Ringstraße ballroom with marble, gilded stucco, chandeliers and a coffered ceiling. A gallery runs around the hall. Take the stairs to the first floor; there is also a lift.

Festsaal II

Festsaal II is smaller and closer to the musicians, with nine seats on each side of the central aisle. It is on the ground floor; follow the signs marked Festsaal II.

Which entrance?

Because both halls share an address, check the hall name on your booking confirmation before you arrive. Tram lines D, 2 and 71 stop at Schwarzenbergplatz, directly outside.
